Black Churches rule. Seriously. They only have three releases to their name – a cassette tape split with Chalk Talk, the Black Gold EP, and what you are about to stream here: their 2010 Tour Demo.
Sounding like a grittier Portugal The Man with whiskey on its breath, Black Churches play an energetic style of post-hardcore tinged indie rock that will also strike a chord with fans of The Blood Brothers.
At only ten minutes in length, this EP/Demo is only a taste, but if it doesn’t give you a craving for a full-length, I’ll give you your e-money back. Okay not really, but you get the picture.
