Rick Ross – Hold Me Back
Oh Rozay. Just when I thought he was done with the trap beats after hearing Self Made Vol. 2, he drops his biggest “banger” to date: “Hold Me Back”. With a triumphant chorus of “These niggas won’t hold me back/These hos won’t hold me back”, Rick Ross has released his most unapologetically obnoxious track to date. And I love it.
I can’t even say why I love it. Is it Ross’s angry snarl? Is it lines like “I look in my fridge/my shit lookin scarce”, “multiply my hustle”, “fornicate in my fortress/40k still my mortgage/24k my toilet”? Or is it for the same reason I enjoy any other joint from the Teflon Don: its pure entertainment.
It’s a mix of all the above, and the fact that “pussy ass niggas/pussy ass niggas/they all pussy ass niggas/pushin my new ferrari on these pussy ass niggas/pussy ho/pussy ho/she a pussy ho until she gives me pussy, ho” gets its own dedicated section in the song.
How is this not amazing?
