It is odd for me to think that a blog that started as reviewing music with a couple friends, has actually become something with a little web presence, and actual readers. And yet, here I am, about to let you readers know what exactly has been going on at Hearwax.
If you follow the site on your RSS reader, or just visit us whenever you can, you might have noticed that content has been slow right now. This is for two reasons; Firstly, a few of our contributors are in summer school, trying to expand their horizons and become smarter. Blame them. Secondly, and most importantly, we have been focusing on Hearwax 2.0 – the deluxe, not-so-limited remastered reissue. We are slowly changing what Hearwax is going to be about. What does this mean? We will officially be getting rid of news (not that we have posted much in the last while), and are going to solely focus on what seems to be clicking with our readers – intelligent art critique and discussion through reviews, interviews, and articles.
With that, a new Comics section is coming, as well as the possibility of expanding our film section (and possibly a TV section, if it feels right). Additionally, a new, more appealing, site layout is on its way – making it easier for you to peruse through whatever new content shows up.
Things are going smoothly, and you can expect all the changes to occur over the next month. The site layout will be the most obvious, but the new content will be the most rewarding – for us, and hopefully, you.
We appreciate your readership and loyalty, and we hope that you stick around long enough to see Hearwax 2.0 take form.
Logan
