This is still my favourite album of the year. It is so beautiful, happy, and depressing all at the same time. I agree with what you say about the chorus, but it is still upbeat imo

This is an oldass review, but I hardly find "While You Wait For the Others" upbeat. It gives the impression that it's upbeat, but there's something so tragic about that chorus.
