Basically Colors meets Silent Circus. A LOT of this sounds nasty – some ridiculously heavy shit going on here – but the blatant Dream Theater rippage kind of pisses me off. Lol I like how they finished off the teaser the same way as the videos.

    Here are my thoughts:

0:10 is ridiculous. Despite it being kind of corny, 0:35 is kind of cool lol. 0:49 is brutal. 1:56 is cool. 2:05 is "In the Name of God" (lame). 2:20 is cool musically but the "nah, nah, nahnahnah" is gay. 2:50 is awesome. 3:23 does actually sound cool. 3:41 is the best part of the teaser.

Some of the transitions are Colors.

Initially, I held the view that it's pretty much "Colors II", but it seems a lot more together than Colors was. I mean, there are strange parts of course, but there is hardly anything as out of the ordinary as a bluegrass part thrown in after an epic interlude, which itself, came after copious amounts of shred.

Of course, it's hard to tell from 5 minutes of music, what an album over 60 minutes will sound like, but it at least gives one hope, when most of what is featured on the teaser is outstanding.

well… someone's opinion changed in a short period of time.

Well obviously after about 10 listens, my opinion will be different than after 1.

1: 50 – 2:00 decimate all life, dig the Nightbear shit, 2:20 black metal, 2:25 celtic stuff, so cool____2:50 – 3 25 is amazing____this teaser is incredible, and shows the improved riffs and identity that follow in the pastiche of loose themes in Colors. This sounds way more confident, way stronger, and way more charged with energy. I feel other than the cowbell and some parts that could be in an elevator, this is some strong technical music and a highlight possibly of the year
